Nathan is a freelance videographer, photographer and writer based between Barcelona and Nairobi, telling character-driven multimedia stories mostly on environmental issues.

Nathan got his start in journalism covering forced evictions in the run-up to the 2014 World Cup in Rio de Janeiro. After university, he covered everything from business to music as a staff writer for the online magazine OZY.

For the last three years, Nathan has reported from East and Southern Africa, Europe and Southeast Asia. In 2017, he worked as the photographer and videographer on a year-long investigation that uncovered large-scale illegal charcoal smuggling from Myanmar to China. Since, he has perfected the art of writing in third person.

Nathan is the Head of Production for ONA, a visual communication agency that creates content and business strategies for brands and organizations working with the ocean.
